NYXUS - named after the Greek goddess of the night - is a device for long range day and night observation. NYXUS can be used either handheld or attached to a monopod or tripod. A goniometer and northfinding gyroscopes can be mounted on the tripod and share its data with the handheld device. Designed for use in rugged terrain and under attack, all functions are easily to control with few training.
Main features:
- The classical high quality binocular can be complemented with an optional visible CCD channel. Its pictures can be saved and transmitted later through the interface connectivity.
- The superposition of the infrared and visible channel enables also most advantageous use in twilight or winter.
- OLED display and advanced power saving electronics allow the system to run up to six hours without external power supply.
- Distance measurements is performed using an eye-safe class 1M laser.
