Within the Photonics Business Division Jena-Optronik takes the lead function for complex opto-electronic system solution for aerospace and security, making use of the competence centres and the expertise of the whole group. After acquiring the majority of shares in 2003 JENOPTIK took over the remaining 25% at January 1st 2005 from EADS-Astrium GmbH.
